Buy Prandin - Understanding The Benefits Of Prandin Repaglinide

Prandin (repaglinide) is a prescription medication used to control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. It works by stimulating the pancreas to produce more insulin, which helps the body to use sugar from the bloodstream. Prandin is usually taken with meals and can be taken up to four times a day. Prandin is available as an oral tablet in 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 mg dosages.

Common Use

The common use for Prandin repaglinide is to treat type 2 diabetes. It is usually taken with meals and can be taken up to four times a day. Prandin is available as an oral tablet in 0.5, 1, 2, and 4 mg dosages.

Dosage and Direction

Prandin should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The usual starting dose is 0.5 mg taken with each meal. Your doctor may increase your dose up to 4 mg with each meal depending on your blood sugar levels. Do not take more than 16 mg per day. Do not skip meals or change the timing of your dose without consulting your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole and do not crush, chew, or cut it.

Precautions

Before taking Prandin, tell your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney disease, a history of heart attack or stroke, an infection, thyroid problems, or if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Prandin may cause low blood sugar, so tell your doctor if you have symptoms such as headache, confusion, anxiety, sweating, chills, and blurred vision. Do not drink alcohol while taking Prandin, as it may increase risk of low blood sugar.

Contraindications

Prandin is contraindicated in people with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or those with hypersensitivity to prandin or its components. It should not be taken if you are allergic to repaglinide.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects of Prandin include headache, dizziness, and nausea. More serious side effects may include increased risk for low blood sugar, allergic reactions, and liver damage. Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any of these side effects.

Drug Interactions

Prandin may interact with other medications, including certain blood pressure medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, cholesterol medications, and certain antidepressants. Be sure to tell your doctor about all medications you are taking before starting Prandin.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Prandin, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take two doses at once.

Overdose
